My mission is simple:
I want to help you get your organization to where it's trying to go.
I help nonprofits and foundations build strategy, programs, and fundraising that work together.
My Approach
1. I take the whole picture seriously.
Whether we're addressing strategy, structure, systems, or people, I never pull on one thread without looking at what it does to the others. It's a delicate balance, but it's how real change sticks.
2. I surface what's already there.
Solutions are often already there, scattered and unspoken, buried under the urgency of the day-to-day. I help teams surface, connect, and articulate them. When something new is needed, we build it together.
3. I can tell the difference between a people problem and a systems problem.
What looks like a people problem is often rooted in unclear roles, broken processes, or structural misalignment. I look for what’s actually causing the friction and address it there.
How We Can Work Together
Organizational Strategy
-
Assessing where your organization actually stands, clarifying where you want to go, and building a realistic plan to get there.
-
Reviewing and strengthening the internal functions and systems that help a growing organization operate without chaos or unnecessary bureaucracy.
-
Working alongside executive directors and boards through periods of transition, growth, and strategic uncertainty.
Fundraising & Development Support
-
Building multi-stream fundraising strategies around your organization’s actual capacity, along with the systems and donor-facing materials, from cases for support and pitch decks to prospect tracking, that make the strategy practical to implement day to day.
-
Identifying funders genuinely aligned with your mission and developing compelling proposals that make a strong case for your work.
-
Designing partnership structures, roles, and ways of working that help organizations collaborate effectively on complex, shared initiatives.
Program Advising
-
Supporting technical teams to develop theories of change, results frameworks, implementation structures, and partnership arrangements that turn program concepts into fundable, executable initiatives across multiple countries.
-
Designing selection criteria, due diligence processes, and support systems that help foundations and grantmaking organizations move resources effectively to their partners.
-
Designing approaches that help community-led partners strengthen their systems, capabilities, and organizational resilience over time.
About Me
I've spent fifteen years working across international development, philanthropy, and organizational consulting, with organizations including Partners In Health, Chemonics International, World Education Inc., and USAID's Office of Transition Initiatives. My work has taken me across the United States, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, and Asia.
I've worked on rapid-response grantmaking in conflict settings in Yemen, Mali, and Haiti; institutional fundraising in global health; and fundraising strategy for a national philanthropic intermediary practicing trust-based and participatory grantmaking.
Throughout my career, I kept seeing the same pattern:
Organizations with the right mission and the right people can still struggle when their strategy, structure, and systems aren't aligned, or when those systems leave the human element behind.
The organizations that thrive find a balance between structure and soul, between institutionalizing and staying true to their mission.
My goal is to help you find that balance.
My experience spans health equity, education, governance and civic engagement, and arts and cultural preservation. I work in English, Arabic, French, and Spanish with foundations, nonprofits, and other mission-driven organizations ready to look honestly at what's standing in their way.
