My mission is simple:
I want to help you get your organization to where it's trying to go.
I am a strategic advisor, and I help mission-driven organizations make sense of complex challenges, connect the pieces, and build practical ways forward.
What I Do
Strategy & Organizational Clarity
-
Helping organizations make sense of complex situations, clarify priorities, and determine what needs to happen when.
-
Helping organizations look across people, programs, resources, and systems to understand what's working, what's getting in the way, and what needs to change.
-
Helping leaders, boards, and teams work through difficult questions, surface different perspectives, make decisions, and build alignment around a way forward.
Program, Partnership & Grantmaking Strategy
-
Helping organizations design or strengthen programs and initiatives, from clarifying goals and approaches to developing frameworks and plans for implementation.
-
Helping organizations develop partnerships, clarify roles and shared goals, and create ways of working together effectively.
-
Helping foundations and other funders clarify what they want their funding to accomplish and design grantmaking approaches, processes, and partnerships around those goals.
Fundraising & Development Support
-
Helping organizations connect fundraising to their broader goals, clarify priorities, and build practical strategies, systems, and plans to support the work.
-
Helping organizations identify potential funders and opportunities, assess fit, build prospect pipelines, and decide where to focus their efforts.
-
Helping organizations shape funding opportunities from early concepts and partnerships through scopes, proposals, and other funder-facing materials.
How I Work
1. I take the whole picture seriously.
Whether we're addressing strategy, structure, systems, or people, I never pull on one thread without looking at what it does to the others. It's a delicate balance, but it's how real change sticks.
2. I surface what's already there.
Solutions are often already there, scattered and unspoken, buried under the urgency of the day-to-day. I help teams surface, connect, and articulate them. When something new is needed, we build it together.
3. I look beneath the problem.
The problem we start with isn't always the problem we need to solve. I look for what's actually creating the friction, whether it's unclear strategy, competing priorities, people, processes, or systems, so we can work on the right thing.
About Me
I’ve spent fifteen years working across international development, philanthropy, and organizational consulting, with organizations including Partners In Health, Chemonics International, World Education Inc., and USAID's Office of Transition Initiatives. My work has taken me across the United States, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, and Asia.
I've worked across strategy, program design, partnerships, grantmaking, and fundraising, from rapid-response programs in conflict settings in Yemen, Mali, and Haiti to global health and philanthropy in the United States.
Across all of that work, I found myself drawn to the same kinds of challenges: bringing clarity to complexity, seeing how different parts of an organization fit together, and helping teams turn ambitious ideas into something workable.
Over the years, I’ve learned that there is no perfect organizational model. Organizations are constantly balancing the structures and systems they need to work effectively with the people, relationships, and purpose at the heart of their work. The strongest organizations I've encountered are the ones willing to keep paying attention, adjust when something isn't working, and stay true to why they exist.
My goal is to help organizations navigate that balance.
I work in English, Arabic, French, and Spanish with foundations, nonprofits, and other mission-driven organizations.
