My mission is simple:
I want to help you get your organization to where it's trying to go.
I help nonprofits and foundations build strategy, programs, and fundraising that work well together.
How I Work
1. I take the whole picture seriously.
Whether we're addressing strategy, structure, or systems, humans are always at the center. I never pull on one without looking at what it does to the others. It's a delicate balance, but it's the only way real change sticks.
2. I surface what's already there.
Solutions are often already in people's minds, scattered and unspoken, buried under the urgency of the day-to-day. I help teams capture and articulate them. Sometimes something genuinely new is needed. I try to tell the difference, and then we build it together.
3. I can tell the difference between a people problem and a systems problem.
Conflict and dysfunction are usually symptoms of structural misalignment, unclear roles, or a strategy nobody fully owns. You can't change personalities, but you can build the conditions where people thrive.
About Me
I've spent fifteen years working across international development, philanthropy, and organizational consulting, with organizations like Partners In Health, Chemonics International, World Education Inc., and USAID's Office of Transition Initiatives, across the United States, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Asia.
The work took me from rapid-response grantmaking in conflict settings in Yemen, Mali, and Haiti, to institutional fundraising at Harvard-affiliated global health programs, to developing fundraising strategy for for a national philanthropic intermediary practicing trust-based, participatory grantmaking in Indigenous programming and women-led land protection.
Throughout my career, I saw the same pattern:
Organizations with the right mission and the right people, struggling because their strategy, structure, and systems weren't aligned.
The ones that move forward find the balance between structure and soul, between process and relationship, between institutionalizing and staying human.
That balance is what I help organizations find.
I have worked across health equity, education, governance and civic engagement, and arts and cultural preservation. I work in English, Arabic, French, and Spanish, with foundations, nonprofits, intermediaries, and mission-driven organizations.
My work has spanned sectors and geographies, but always had one major throughline: shifting power and resources to the communities closest to the work and building their capacity to sustain it on their own terms.
